AggieTV started in 2012 when Aggie Sung joined Princeton Community TV as her first step into the education world. She believes knowledge needs to be equally accessible by everyone. This mindset made Princeton Community TV a natural home for her.
After a few of years of teaching and spending part of summer 2018 in Bavaria, Germany, she was inspired to create a series of videos in computer science. With the help of some talented German high school students in Sankta Ana Gymnasium, she discovered how the state of Bavaria's Computer Science curriculum worked from grades 5 - 12. She aligned her material with Bavaria's curriculum but adapted it to the the American culture. When she started to teach Math, she created videos because more than half of her students struggled with the foundations of mathematics.
She received a BA from University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and New Jersey teaching certificates from Rider University. Currently, she is a graduate student in the Mathematics for Teaching Program at Harvard University's Harvard Extension School. She holds New Jersey Standard Licenses in Computer Science Technology, Early Education and Mathematics.
